Polluted water at Carolina Beach today

It was a nice day to be at the beach until I saw sewage make its way across the ocean and south bound. I don't know if it's obvious by the photo below but there was a significant difference in color and texture between the left and right sides of the drift line. In 30 minutes it drifted about 100 yards towards Kure Beach. It probably came from the Cape Fear river which feeds the inlet at the North End of Carolina Beach.
